ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
- Part-Time/Temporary Position – This position is a part time/temporary position and DOES NOT include health or medical benefits. Hours for this position will not exceed 938 per calendar year.
- Pay Considerations – The hourly pay for this position is $19.00.
- Work Schedule – You must be able to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, overtime, stand by and holidays.
- Work Location – Multiple recreational centers across North Las Vegas. Applicants should indicate their preferred location using the dropdown menu above.
THE ROLE
Under general supervision, responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the City of North Las Vegas swimming pools.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Minimum of nine (9) months experience in working with youth and adults in a responsible position or.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Must possess a valid state of Nevada driver’s license/Identification Credential or have the ability to obtain, and maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Applicants must be able to obtain all required below certifications within two weeks of date of hire and prior to working in Pool Manager or an instructor capacity. NLS will provide all need training.
- American Red Cross or StarGuard Lifeguard Training Certificate which includes Standard First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- Water Safety Instructor Certificate.
- Lifeguard Training Instructor Certificate.
